What is Nepal Gazette?
The Gazette is an official publication fully owned by the government of Nepal, where government decisions and notices are published. It also includes laws, rules and regulations and policies that concern the public, as well as important government appointments, transfers, promotions, and other official announcements.
History of the gazette.
Looking of the history of the gazette, it was first started in 1631 in France. It was the first weekly magazine published in France. It was founded by Theophrastus Renaudot on 30 May 1631.
Then, on 7 November 1665, Britain published it as the oxford Gazette.
In the history of Nepal, it started being published as the Nepal Gazette Following the decision of 26 Asar 2008 B.S. and it began publication from 22 Shrawan 2008 B.S. Initially, It was published in 11 sections, and later it changed over time between 11,12, and 13 sections.
From 2027 to 2063 Poush 10 was published in 5 sections. From 2063 Poush 11 it has been published in 6 sections now a day.
Its Name was changed from NEPAL GAZETTE to NEPAL RAJPATRA on 2023 Magh 23 B.S, which was done through the first amendment of the 2019 Constitution of Nepal.
There is also provision for publishing gazettes at the federal, provincial and local levels.

Part1- Constitution and constitution – level Declaration.
Part 2- Acts or ordinances.
Part 3- Rules, and declaration/ orders or authorizations issued by the Government of Nepal.
Part 4- Appointments under the constitution or other notices, transfers, promotions, and various types of announcements.
Part 5 – Notices to be published under Acts, Rules, or Ordinances, or according to the decisions of the Government of Nepal.
Part 6- Notices to be published That bilateral or multilateral treaties and agreements made with different countries or international organizations, and related notices.
